Grad Resources Mentoring Program

You Don’t Have to Navigate Graduate School Alone

Graduate school can shape every part of your life. Whether you are completing a dissertation, considering what comes after graduation, navigating personal or professional challenges, or exploring how your faith connects with your calling, having someone in your corner can make a meaningful difference.

The Grad Resources Mentoring Program connects graduate students with experienced Christian mentors who offer encouragement, wisdom, practical guidance, and support.

Applications for Fall 2026 are open through September 1.

Mentorship for Every Graduate Student

The Grad Resources Mentoring Program welcomes students pursuing master’s, doctoral, and professional degrees.

We welcome students from all beliefs, cultures, nationalities, disciplines, and life experiences. Our desire is for every graduate student to feel respected, supported, and encouraged to flourish.

All mentors are committed Christians who affirm the Grad Resources Statement of Faith and mentor from a Christ-centered perspective. They are expected to approach every student with compassion, humility, respect, and a genuine desire to serve.

Complete an Application

Mentors and mentees complete an application sharing their background, goals, interests, experience, availability, and preferences.

Mentees may request a mentor with a particular academic discipline, profession, cultural background, gender, or area of life experience.

Mentor Interview and Approval

Every prospective mentor is personally interviewed by a member of the Grad Resources team before being accepted into the program.

Mentors must affirm our Statement of Faith and demonstrate the experience, character, maturity, and desire to support graduate students well.

Thoughtful Matching

Our Mentor Pairing Council prayerfully reviews applications and recommends matches based on each student’s goals, preferences, personality, and needs, along with each mentor’s experience and availability.

We cannot guarantee every requested preference, but we will do our best to create a meaningful and compatible match.

Meet and Begin

Once a match is accepted, Grad Resources introduces the mentor and mentee and provides resources to help them begin their relationship.

All mentors are available remotely. In-person meetings may also be arranged when both participants live nearby and mutually agree.
